That wasn't such a bad way to end the year.

Happy New Year.

Reading To Keep You Occupied

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

Life lately as usual has been a little stressful. Its pass the stress of the beginning school but now it moves into the stress of the daily routine and the ever appearing midterms. In the last month, I have also been dealing with constant neck pain which only recently I started seeing a chiropractor for and has been improving. Before it made literally everything from sleeping to driving to just watching a movie with my daughter or boyfriend one hell of a task. Along with that, it is almost the end of the month, which means as the new month arrives, so do the due dates to pay bills, times to set my calendar for parent teacher conferences, setting up my tutoring schedule to start working, along with a million other personal plans to put into motion.

I don't know about you but the end of the month is alway stressful for me just because of the load of things I need to wrap up. But I look forward to the next month. I look forward to feeling better physically, enough to start running again and even have time to work on my music which is a big stress reliever for me personally.

Have you ever been one of those people who on the bus or walking down the street, looks at someone else and wonder what life looks like through their eyes? Well recently, I was reading one of the blogs I follow A Cup of Jo, and she found an article on the life of a ballerina. I have always been fascinated with dance since I was a little girl and has always tried to incorporate it into my life. I found the article to be very glamourous. Here is something for you to read to keep you occupied while I work elsewhere for this blog and such...

Wild Ones

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

School is officially in session.

And I think it is safe to say that I am tired of going to college. The last day of winter break was planned with errands and preparing for the next day yet I was invited to "Its a School Night", a show that occurs frequently at Bardot in Hollywood. At first I thought, "Eh, I should be going to bed early." But after hearing some of the bands, I decided to go anyways. I wasn't having the best weekend so maybe I was suppose to go out. It was there was I anticipated and saw Wild Ones.

I was blown away.

I am not the biggest fan of electronica. In fact, when someone plays electronica on their playlist, my first reaction is to leave the room. But there were many reasons behind my enjoyment of Wild Ones. The lyrics for one were soothing, the melodies distracting and last but not least, they were from Portland, OR. Perhaps I became a little biased.

But as I watch them, my feet touching the stage, a foot away from the guitarist, I just danced. Cliche, probably. But it felt really good to just let go and just enjoy my last few hours not being a student, not worrying about my daughter, not dealing with all the responsibilities that are currently surrounding my life.

New St. Vincent Album

Monday, December 9, 2013

I just found out today that St. Vincent is coming out with a new album in February and she even gives a preview of one of the songs through Youtube. I can't wait. I found St. Vincent by accident around two years ago and she has been my favorite music artist ever since.

San Francisco With Birdie

Thursday, July 25, 2013

Last week before heading back to San Diego, I decided it would be nice to stop in San Francisco. It would give a good break for birdie (since it is a ten hour drive) and I always visit the Bi-Rite Creamery when I'm there because they have my favorite ice cream, honey lavender!

There has been quite a bit of traveling going on lately. And its still not over! Hope everyone is having a good summer.

1) Honey Lavender and Caramel Sea Salt Ice cream. SO GOOD! 2) Lillee trying to adventurous and trying Basil ice cream. It didn't work out. 3) Feeling satisfied with Balsamic Strawberry and dark chocolate. 4) I need a cup of caffeinated jasmine green tea for the ride home. 5) Lillee dancing her heart out in Delores Park. 6-7) Playing at the playground in Delores Park.
