And so it begins...

Tuesday, September 8, 2015

Last time I posted was at the end of summer camp and I was just heading home after a hectic summer. I was looking forward to everything but nervous for the future. In reality, my goal was to find an apartment, have birdie be back in San Diego and ready for school/work by September 8th. That was three weeks and guess what...I did it. I kind of can't believe it myself.

I was lucky enough to find the cutest old fashion cottage for me and birdie in the exact location I wanted. I will probably spend the next month decorating, getting rid of things and making it perfect but for the most part, everything to ready for us two ladies to begin the year and its looking very promising so far.

While the day is hectic, I kind finally starting looking/proposing to new photography clients and start posting more regularly on the blog!

Valentine's Day Brunch at Darling Magazine

Monday, February 16, 2015

This Valentine's Day, I had the pleasure of being at the Darling Magazine Valentine's Day Brunch. The magazine holds different events around LA which is one of the great things about living close to the city so I decided to take the opportunity and being a part of this great time. Being incredible shy, I had a bit of a hard time introducing myself, especially with Birdie with me, but everyone there was incredible friendly and welcoming. I'll be sure to be going back again.

The Blog is Back On

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

And here is why...

  • The school semester is over.
  • My birthday is over.
  • My camera is fixed.
  • I have more free time this winter break.
  • Why not?

Everlane Lookbook

Sunday, October 26, 2014

Everlane is still considered a new company but they have gotten popular incredibly fast and for good reason. I'm in love with their basic pieces, am a huge fan and I'm very proud of my Everlane button-up.

Its not so much that Everlane is getting popular among the hip crowd (bloggers, fashion experts, artist...) but that its selling not just a style but an aesthetic. I was happy to see their new look book come out recently. I remember when all they use to sell were box-shirts and now they are selling cozy sweaters and chic loafers.

I never considered getting a luxe sweater in that rose color but I might just have to after seeing the combination in the look book! Definitley worth the investor for those who don't spend more than $20 on an item of clothing (thats how I grew up and still act when I shop).

Lukasz Wierzbowski

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

Not to be a re-blogger but I first saw Lukasz Wierzbowski on the blog Miss Moss (which I am always coming back to for creative advice and inspiration). He (I want to say "he") photographs in ways that his models envelope nature. I have never seen anything like it and I am fascinated by his work. For the most part, I have been photographing portraits, capturing nature and people in their natural surrounds and trying to get emotions that people wouldn't otherwise realize. But I've been yearning for more artistic mediums. Not so much to play with photoshop but to display a concept that is out of the ordinary yet conveys an emotion that everyone can recognize. Its not easy to do.

Reading To Keep You Occupied

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

Life lately as usual has been a little stressful. Its pass the stress of the beginning school but now it moves into the stress of the daily routine and the ever appearing midterms. In the last month, I have also been dealing with constant neck pain which only recently I started seeing a chiropractor for and has been improving. Before it made literally everything from sleeping to driving to just watching a movie with my daughter or boyfriend one hell of a task. Along with that, it is almost the end of the month, which means as the new month arrives, so do the due dates to pay bills, times to set my calendar for parent teacher conferences, setting up my tutoring schedule to start working, along with a million other personal plans to put into motion.

I don't know about you but the end of the month is alway stressful for me just because of the load of things I need to wrap up. But I look forward to the next month. I look forward to feeling better physically, enough to start running again and even have time to work on my music which is a big stress reliever for me personally.

Have you ever been one of those people who on the bus or walking down the street, looks at someone else and wonder what life looks like through their eyes? Well recently, I was reading one of the blogs I follow A Cup of Jo, and she found an article on the life of a ballerina. I have always been fascinated with dance since I was a little girl and has always tried to incorporate it into my life. I found the article to be very glamourous. Here is something for you to read to keep you occupied while I work elsewhere for this blog and such...

The Loved One | Pasadena, CA

Friday, September 5, 2014

I've been meaning to travel to Pasadena, only a short 20-25 minute drive from my house, to visit the Loved One. I've been reading Hannah's blog for about a year and really fell in love with the photography on the website. Lucky enough for me, I found a few items while I was there and I was also informed that they hold events every second Friday of the month. PS. I also found my new favorite tote bag.

I love this lingerie.

And I love these videos that promote it. I found them via one of my favorite blogs Hannah+Landon and I have been eyeing their lingerie (and other items) ever since.

Visit The Loved One to see more items in their store.
