"Slap Her"

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Hardly do I share videos on here but this was just too sweet. Perhaps it was because little children were speaking Italian or their romantic reactions to this young woman. But ultimately, it spread a decent and gratifying message and i truly enjoyed it. I hope you do too.

Happy Blogging.

UPDATE: Since this video has surfaced on the web, it has gotten many mixed reactions. After reading articles that convey the flaws within the video, my opinion has changed yet I will not remove this post because despite my changed opinion, I do not find the video offensive. If you have any opinions on the matter, i would love to hear them below, good or bad.

The Loved One | Pasadena, CA

Friday, September 5, 2014

I've been meaning to travel to Pasadena, only a short 20-25 minute drive from my house, to visit the Loved One. I've been reading Hannah's blog for about a year and really fell in love with the photography on the website. Lucky enough for me, I found a few items while I was there and I was also informed that they hold events every second Friday of the month. PS. I also found my new favorite tote bag.

BFAB for Bonlook

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

You may not know this but I am practically blind.

Since the age of 8 (and probably before that) I have needed glasses and the need for them has only gotten worse over the years. So I have plenty of experience of getting eye appointments, having my pupils dilated and going through the long and expensive process of finding the right pair of glasses.

Until I heard of Bonlook.

I should wear my glasses all the time but I don't which is why in a lot of my photos you can see me not wearing glasses. That just means that WHEN I DO WEAR GLASSES, I'm very picky about the frames. When I heard of Bonlook, I was happy that not only did they have a ton of styles that I liked but that they were about 1/3 the price that I normally would pay for a pay of glasses.

So when Bonlook asked if I would like to do a post on their new Spring line I said of course. I would endorse Bonlook to anyone who wears glasses because they are comfortable, affordable and most importantly, stylish.

I'm also in love with the graphics that have for their new spring line.

Reminds me of Geninne's Art Blog

My favorite is  Glamazon in Brown Sugar. What's yours?

Jordan Grace Owens on Etsy

Saturday, January 18, 2014

Despite having very few readers, I try to take my blog seriously.

I most recently bought a better camera to do more photography, I get excited when I see that my blog got 12 pages views in one day even though I'm probably 4 of those views and lately I've been scrolling Etsy for artists to possibly do a custom portrait for the blog. And though it may not be a custom portrait, I am in love with these cute paper dolls.

The artist is Jordan Grace Owens

Her paper dolls start at $35 and I am assuming they go up in price with the number of paper dolls you purchase. But I just think it would be precious to get a paper doll or me and Lillee to frame in the house and post on this very blog. If you would like leave a comment on a favorite Etsy or local artist you have, feel free!

Amanda Jasnowski

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

I found this video of a photographer I recently became interested in. Her name is Amanda Jasnowski and is based in New York and LA. I decided to share this video because I appreciate how simple it is, but I also find what Amanda has to say inspiring and creative to other photographers, amateur or professional.

Peter Parker

Wednesday, July 3, 2013

To add to the cat themes, I unexpectedly snuggled with a kitten by the name of Peter Parker. My entire family (even though we love the other breeds of animals just as equally) are cat people. My aunt has 3-5 cats, my grandma has 3-4 cats, my daughter has two cats and even though it technically isn't mine, I live with one cat. So it wasn't much surprise that after I had driven close to 8 hours from LA to Redding, I arrived at my house to find a small grey kitten called Bonnie and was told how a box of two kittens were found near the side of the road that my cousin found and one was adopted by my aunt and the other my cousin.

I picked up the kitten Peter and scratched beneath his chin and his eyes slowly started to close and all limbs went numb as he fell asleep in my arms. In the background my cousin kept saying "you're such a hipster. Always instagramming cat" while my aunt kept saying "he lets you cuddle with him but not me". What can I say? He needed a place to sleep, I needed someone to cuddle with.
