San Diego Zoo

I've been to the San Diego Zoo about a million times.

And I can confidently say...I probably haven't seen the whole zoo. Every time I go (because me and my daughter have yearly passes), we find some dark cornered part of the zoo we haven't explored yet.  Only recently in the last month or so my daughter and I finally discovered another trail that led to monkeys we hadn't seen before. So when visiting San Diego this weekend from Los Angeles, I asked Bird where she wanted to go and to no surprise, "the zoo!"

Throughout the day (even for the zoo), Bird intently drew pictures and wrote notes in her little notepad. This face may be because she is deep in thought or without her glasses.

Bird has a few favorite places in the zoo we visit every time. One is flamingos, another is polar bears but recently she has become excited to see the "spineless marvels" at the insect house. Her favorite is the bird eating spider that conveniently hides every time we come around.

Skyfari!

The San Diego Zoo is known for having rare animals, large landscape and one of the most lushest plant life in any zoo in the country.

This elephant decided to come say hello and even posed a few times for photos!

Try to find the animal.

Happy Blogging!
