Weird, right? Recently photographer and editor Lauren Wade decided to take monumental works of art and photoshop them to today's beauty standards, not to defeat the purpose but in fact prove a point.
"Throughout art history, painters from Titian to Rubens to Gauguin found beauty in the bodies of women who would never fit into a size 0."
Because of the scarcity of food at the time, you could tell who was wealthy by the fullness in their bodies. These women were considered the models of standard beauty (no pun intended).
